We are offering this single as a free download to the buyers of Dear God..Really? book on line. and to anyone coming to my concerts.

My first single in many years, comes as a surprise. I’d written a song by request from my manager, to be a duet for a father and son group. I did. And that band broke up in the studio, hopefully not over this song 8). Six months later my son Devin upon hearing a version, asked me rather timidly if he could sing it with me. “just for the family” he said cause he didn’t want to mess with my career?

I was honored he would ask and ashamed that I hadn’t thought of it. it took almost another year to get this recorded for ourselves and actually get Devin in the studio to sing it.

We are offering this single as a free download to the buyers of Dear God..Really? book on line. and to anyone coming to my concerts.

This song is mostly about the message of what fathers and sons mean to each other in the road we must travel and the motivation we must find. It’s interesting how our perspectives change when we have children of our own.

let me say that Devin is my youngest of two sons, he’s an actor, writer, singer. and this tune is not in a phrasing that he would sing normally. (he screams alot more). But he wanted to do it for what it says! I’m so proud! he learns and finds the truth to apply, and loves to apply it even when it doesn’t feel quite comfortable! Me Too! and that’s where we became brothers in Christ as well. I gotta go now… I’m gonna tear up.

several people have commented on looking for old product from myself and the Sweet Comfort Band. SCB is listed in my friends list on the home page. I believe you might still pick up the first album at that site.

CCM classics is a website run my Rich Davis and he has some of the older Bryan Duncan projects. they are mostly out of print and hard to find.

I tunes has the largest compilation of downloadable old songs that I have found of mine.

You might try E Bay and similar sites. I’ve seen old records for sale there as well. thanks for actually wanting the old material. Good luck.

Used Again, Probably Love You Delilah, I Can’t Imagine, Already In Heaven, Lovin’ You, It Didn’t Work Out, and an impromtu version of Mr Bailey’s Daughter, in a one take surprise of a performance. I was amazed that I remembered all the lyrics. Someone in the crowd wanted to hear it specifically.

The video is being edited currently and will be posted here as we move toward a new approach to music as well as writing.

on www.myspace.com/thesugarcaddies … I decided to form a local band for the opportunity to play smaller venues and clubs in Southern California. I met guitarist Mike Gross who said he could teach me some new guitar chords. I liked his work, had him sit in at a route 66 event. Living next door to him was Juan Nelson, Bass player for BEN HARPER, formerly too of the FIVE BLIND BOYS OF ALABAMA. Juan just happened to have a Son that I call “pockets”. who plays a spanky groove on drums. We got together and played some of my original guitar tunes and what we had was a rediculously funky version of my ‘unplugged’ songs. Since then we’ve added a couple of NehoSoul band covers “chains’ and “if only I”…as well as a new tune never heard “In to Wishin” … written by Ricky B and Steve Cabalas and myself.

We now have a full set of tunes to play local ‘unplugged’ gigs. just four of us layin down an easy groove. great news here is Mike and Juan are great singers! and so there’s a new harmony sound to all the music. They will debut with me at two amphitheater gigs late summer. stay tuned
